上海建设中国第一条双管双层越江隧道
上海黄浦江越江隧道工程——复兴东路越江隧道今天全面完成岸上工程建设，转入越江通道的盾构建设。据承包建设这条隧道的上海城建集团负责人介绍，这是中国国内第一条双管双层的越江隧道。
据介绍，“双管双层”是指隧道根据车辆来回两个方向设计两条管道，这两条管道又分别设计上下两层。每根隧道上层为双车道，供小车通行；下层为单车道，供大车通行。这种设计将能有效解决隧道交通中常见的车流拥堵问题，并最大限度利用隧道空间。
这条隧道建设将在黄浦江两岸分设浦东、浦西两个工作井同步开工，双向推进。据悉，工程中的超大型盾构同步推进、双层隧道同步道路施工，双管隧道联络通道施工以及江中泵房等施工技术均具有国际同类领先水平。
复兴东路双层越江隧道，是上海市的重点工程，隧道西起浦西复兴东路、光启路，东至浦东张杨路、崂山东路，工程全长2785米，其中江底隧道长1214米，岸边段长1571米，由上海市隧道工程轨道交通设计院设计。隧道的主体工程计划在2003年底全线贯通。
上海黄浦江的越江通道目前投入运营的有打浦桥隧道、延安路隧道、地铁二号线通道和观光隧道，正在建设的有复兴东路隧道和外环路隧道。
